Fraud case CBI files chargesheet against YSR Cong MP

The CBI has filed a chargesheet against Lok Sabha MP Kothapalli Geetha and others for their alleged involvement in a criminal conspiracy to cheat Punjab National Bank (PNB), causing a loss of Rs 42.79 crore to the bank.

Besides the YSR Congress MP, others who have been chargesheeted are Visweswara Infrastructure Pvt Ltd (VIPL) of Hyderabad, former managing director of VIPL P Ramakoteswara Rao, former assistant general manager of PNB B K Jayaprakasam, former general manager of PNB K K Aravindakshan and one S Rajkumar.

They have been charged with criminal conspiracy, cheating and forgery, and sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act have also been applied in the case.
