CBI special court held four persons in MLA Bhatti murder case

Defense lawyer Rupendra Bhandari said he will appeal in the high court against the special court’s judgment in the case.

Dehradun-based CBI Special Court held four persons, including UP strongman and controversial politician DP Yadav, guilty in the murder case of MLA Mahendra Singh Bhatti on Saturday.

Other three persons, who were held guilty are Karan Yadav, Pranit Bhatti and Pal Singh.

The court will pronounce quantum of punishment for the guilty persons on March 10.

Defense lawyer Rupendra Bhandari said he will appeal in the high court against the special court’s judgment in the case.

The MLA Mahendra Singh Bhatti was killed in Dadri area of Ghaziabad district in 1992. According to Bhadari, CBI had submitted charge-sheet against eight persons in this case. Four persons died during the trial.
