Ludhiana: A Ludhiana based model has alleged that Punjabi singer Nachattar Gill and his three friends sexually assaulted her and circulated an obscene MMS that they had made after offering her a sedative laced drink. In a complaint addressed to police commissioner Ishwar Singh,she has alleged that Gill and his friends also took Rs 20 lakh from her family with a promise to send her abroad. ADCP Nilambari Jagdale has called Gill and his friends on March 5 to record their version. Gill has denied the allegations.

Involved in 250 thefts,three held

JALANDHAR: Police on Thursday arrested three thieves in Jalandhar allegedly involved in over 250 thefts. Dharma,Radheshyam and Raja Madrasi of Madrasi mohalla were arrested from a village near Kartarpur and most of the stolen articles have been recovered.

Inter-state fuel pilferage gang busted

MANSA: Police busted an inter-state gang and arrested two men from UP for allegedly pilfering fuel by fitting electronic devices on dispensing machines at petrol pumps that increased the pulse rate leading to lesser amount of fuel being dispensed. Police also booked owners of five petrol pumps where the equipment was being used,said SSP Mansa,Dr Narinder Bhargav.

HC quashes circular on convicted cops

Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday quashed a 2010 circular issued by the then Punjab DGP,allowing the police to dismiss an officer,who was awarded more than three years of imprisonment by a court.
