BCS students scale Himalayan peak

A 10-member team of students from the Bishop Cotton School,on expedition to the Garhwal Himalayas from May 1 this year,have scaled the 6,317 m Bandarpunch peak.

A 10-member team of students from the Bishop Cotton School (BCS),on expedition to the Garhwal Himalayas from May 1 this year,have scaled the 6,317 m Bandarpunch peak.

Led by Rohit Vyas and deputy leader Viresh Dogra,the team returned to Shimla on Wednesday. The others students in the team included Surya Uday Minocha (mountaineering captain),Yudhveer Janartha,Titiksh Saluja,Naunihal S Punia,Vanlal Vansons,Sanjeev Sikri,Mahim Gupta and Anirudh Dipta. A summit team of four students and technical experts scaled Mount Bandarpunch on May 10. The summit team comprised of Viresh Dogra,Surya Uday Minocha,Yudhveer Janartha and Titiksh Saluja.
