The incident occurred at a private nursing home in Musrigharari.
A nurse in Bihar’s Samastipur allegedly cut a doctor’s private part in an attempt to escape a rape attempt, police said Thursday.
According to the police, the incident occurred at a private nursing home in Musrigharari where the nurse worked in the early hours of Thursday. When the nursing home owner and two of his associates – stated to staffers at the hospital — drunkenly tried to rape her, she allegedly reached for a blade and struck out, wounding him.
Kumar, who owns the nursing home, is now stated to be in a stable condition. He and his two associates had allegedly turned off CCTVs at the clinic.
“The nursing home owner, who had been drinking with his two colleagues, had asked the nurse to fetch him a glass of water and eventually tried to force himself on her,” Samastipur SP Vinay Tiwari told The Indian Express.
All three have now been arrested.
“We also found half bottle of liquor, a blood-soaked bed sheet, a blade and a lungi (a dress worn around waist) from the spot,” the SP said, adding that all three have been charged with molestation under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and provisions of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.
