The new visa rules laid out by Dubai’s emigration department is posing as hindrance to the Indian tourists who wish to visit the city during the Dubai Shopping Festival from December 8 to December 14. The department last month introduced stricter requirements for those who wish to apply for tourist visas mandating the travellers to furnish hotel booking documents and a copy of their return tickets.
Confirmed return flight tickets: A tourist must provide a copy of their confirmed return flight tickets to demonstrate their intention to leave Dubai after your visit. Earlier, these documents were required only if asked by airport officers.
Proof of accommodation: A tourist must furnish confirmation of a hotel booking or other evidence of where they will stay in Dubai.
Financial resources: A traveller show proof of funds enough to cover their expenses during their trip, such as bank statements or a sponsorship letter.
Submission by authorised travel agents: The applications for tourist visas can be processed either online or through authorised travel agencies. However, the visit visas can still be submitted by trading companies, individuals, or families. However, the same documentation requirements apply to both visa categories.
