Girl raped,tries to commit suicide

Rasal and Narayan Kale picked up the victim,took her on a bike and raped her for 4 days.

A 17-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by her father’s former employers tried to commit suicide at Rampur near here by setting herself on fire,police said.

The father of the victim,who worked at a farm had a dispute with its owner Babulal Rasal,sub-inspector Suresh Randive said.

On April 4,Rasal and his aide Narayan Kale forcefully picked up the victim and took her on a bike to different places and raped her over the next four days.

According to the statement given by the victim,after four days the accused took her to their village Surmapuri where the father of the accused forcefully made her sign on a bond paper stating that the accused neither raped her nor misbehaved.

On April 10,the accused left her at her Rampur village.

She did not reveal as to what happened to her but on the same day she tried to commit suicide at her home,Randive said.

She is 95 per cent burnt and being treated at the Beed civil hospital,he said.

The main accused Rasal is absconding while his aide Narayan Kale has been arrested,police said.
