24-yr-old accountant raped in Ghaziabad

“The victim and her friend had been chatting online for six months and met last night. They both work in Sector-62. The man is a BTech graduate and was carrying a laptop and a mobile phone,” said Lal. “Around 7.30 pm,the two were near Kamla Nehru Nagar when the four accused,all in their early twenties,arrived there.”

“They then beat up the man and took turns to rape the woman. They took away the victim’s cellphone and her friend’s laptop and cellphone,” he added.

According to police,after the man dropped the victim home,he approached the police but did not report the rape initially,only registering a complaint of loot. When Station House Officer (Kavi Nagar) Vijay Kumar decided to take him to the spot of crime,he told the police about the entire sequence of events.

He has,however,not revealed the identity of the victim in his complaint.

On the basis of his description,police arrested Toni,Jackie,Monu and Devender.

“Toni and Jackie were drunk. We arrested the four,and recovered the laptop,mobile phones,wallets and ATM cards,which were looted from the victims. The accused have narrated the incident and confessed to raping the woman,” said Lal.

The police are,however,still looking for the victim. “The man said the victim is scared and traumatised. We have registered an FIR for the unnamed victim. We will protect the identity of the victim,but to nail the accused,we need her statement. We request the parents and the victim to come forward and help us,” the SSP added.
