Chhath Puja (Morning Puja) Bank Holiday Today 2025: Today, October 28 (Tuesday), marks the fourth and final day of Chhath, with the Usha Arghya, the most significant ritual of the festival, which breaks the 36-hour fast after offering Arghya to the Sun.

As a result, public and private banks in a few Indian cities will observe a closure today on account of Chhath Puja (Morning Puja), according to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) 2025 holiday calendar.

With just a few days remaining in October 2025, the month observed 21 official bank holidays, designated under the Negotiable Instruments Act, including RTGS holidays and other regional and national holidays, in addition to the mandatory weekly days off on the second Saturday and Sunday of each month.
