Bihar Amrit Bharat Train List: Launched in 2023, the Amrit Bharat trains are meant to provide affordable service and high quality travelling experience for people in the lower-income and lower-middle-income category.
Currently, 12 Amrit Bharat trains are operating across the country, with 10 of them originating from Bihar. With the addition of three new Amrit Bharat Express trains (September 29), the total number of such trains will increase to 15, of which 13 will operate from Bihar.

Amrit Bharat Express Trains Coach Composition
The non-AC Amrit Bharat trains comprise 11 General Class coaches, 8 Sleeper Class coaches, 1 Pantry car and 02 Second class-cum-Luggage-cum-Guard Van and Disabled-Friendly Compartment. The railways has provisioned for production of 100 Amrit Bharat trains.
The Amrit Bharat Express train is equipped with the Kavach system. The train also features semi-automatic couplers, crash tubes and EP-assisted braking systems to enable instant braking in emergencies. All coaches are fully sealed with gangways and vacuum evacuation systems. For the first time, a fire detection system has been provided in non-AC coaches, a revolutionary step in passenger safety. Additionally, talkback units and response units in the guard rooms further strengthen security.

Amrit Bharat 3.0 Trains Production
Now, the national transporter has geared up to manufacture Amrit Bharat 3.0 trains. This will be developed by Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF).
Amrit Bharat 3.0 trainsets will feature a combination of Air-Conditioned (AC) and Non-Air-Conditioned (Non-AC) coaches.
