The agriculture sector of India is often considered the backbone of its economy. The number of farmers in India is way more than the workforce of any other sector in the country. However, these farmers face numerous challenges, including limited resources, volatile market conditions, and unpredictable weather patterns. Considering these farmers’ hardships, the Government of India launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana in 2018.

Under this scheme, farmers receive Rs 6000 yearly in three instalments of Rs 2000 each every four months. The government has released 16 instalments so far. However, the release of 17 instalments has hit some roadblocks, as over 9000 accounts that used to receive these instalments had not completed the e-KYC process required to make them eligible to receive the scheme amount. The government of India have asked these farmers to complete their e-KYC as soon as possible to receive the 17th and upcoming instalments without hassle.

However, the e-KYC process for these accounts is often complex and confusing for the common masses. Here, we have given step-wise instructions on how one can complete their e-KYC process for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna.
