The Family Man writer Suparn S Varma on Farzi being part of Raj and DK’s shared spy universe: ‘Everyone will have to wait till…’

When asked if these fan theories have truth to them, Suparn told indianexpress.com, “I guess everyone will have to wait till Season 3 of The Family Man comes out to know what is speculation and what is theory. I am not going to add more fuel to the fire. Let fans of both the shows have fun till Season 3 comes out. That’s the fun of it. That’s the beautiful relationship the audience creates when they love a show and love the characters of the show.”

So, when does the third season of The Family Man finally go on floors? “The Family Man’s next season we will start shooting by the year end.” When we tried to probe further, Suparn was quick to answer, “I can’t tell you anything more than that.”

Suparn S Varma is gearing up for the release of his next project Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai. While Suparn is the creative director on the film based on real-life events, it is directed by Apoorv Singh Karki.

The courtroom drama shows Manoj Bajpayee as lawyer PC Solanki fighting the case of a minor girl, who accuses a godman of sexual assault.

Suparn says to get Manoj on board for the film was not a difficult task. “We were blessed to have such a powerful story as our basis. I have worked with Manoj over the last 18 years and within 15 minutes of hearing the basic story, he was on board. We have got some of the best people to be part of the movie and make such a powerful film.”

The filmmaker is also directing Kajol’s OTT debut The Good Wife. He has co-written Lootere with Hansal Mehta and Jai Mehta. Besides this Suparn’s directorial Sultan of Delhi is also expected to release this year.
