Citadel Honey Bunny starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan will release on November 7.

Citadel: Honey Bunny, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan, debuted its first teaser and announced a release date in Mumbai on Thursday. Directed by Raj and DK, the show follows Samantha and Varun’s spy characters on a high-stakes, globe-trotting adventure.

In the one-and-a-half minute teaser, we see Varun and Samantha’s characters disguising themselves as they take on different missions. The teaser has a revamped version of ‘Raat Baaki Baat Baaki’ playing in the background, as the two take on their enemies. The teaser also features Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, among others.

Citadel: Honey Bunny is a spin-off of the original Citadel series, which stars Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. Amazon Prime Video had previously announced that the spin-offs of the original series will be set in India, Spain, Italy and Mexico with Priyanka’s show being the anchor point of all these shows. The Italian spin-off, Citadel: Diana, will be released on October 10, 2024.

However, after the release of Citadel, the series got mixed reviews. Despite this, the show was renewed for a second season. Russo Brothers, known for Avengers films, were involved in the making of the show. It was previously announced that Joe Russo would come back to direct the second season of Citadel but in light of recent announcements, with him and Anthony Russo going back to MCU for future Avengers films, it seems like Citadel might be taken over by someone else.

Citadel Honey Bunny will release on November 7.
