Bigg Boss OTT 2 runner-up Abhishek Malhan was hospitalised after the finale of the show. He shared a message for his fans who voted for him and also apologised to them for not bringing the trophy home from the hospital bed. Abhishek, popularly called ‘Fukra Insaan’, lost the trophy to Elvish Yadav as the second season of the Salman Khan-hosted show came to a close on Monday.
The YouTuber shared a video of himself from the hospital on Instagram, and said, “Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me. I know I couldn’t bring the trophy but your love, I swear to God, I don’t think I deserve it. Thank you so much Panda gang, thank you so much, everyone, who has voted for me.”
Updating his fans about his health, Abhishek continued, “I have just returned from the Bigg Boss set and have come to hospital. Sorry to the media people who wanted to interview me, but I had to meet a deadline. Soon I will express all my feelings as I leave from the hospital.”
Abhishek concluded the video by saying, “I know I disappointed you thoda sa (a bit), but I gave my best in the last two months. Your love is my trophy. Congrats to Elvish.”
Abhishek Malhan’s health deteriorated on Monday ahead of the show’s finale and had to be taken outside the Bigg Boss house for treatment. He also couldn’t perform at the finale and returned to the house only in the middle of the finale.
Abhishek’s sister Prerna had shared his health update on social media before the Bigg Boss OTT 2 finale began. She informed his fans that her brother wouldn’t be able to perform at the finale. She asked his fans to pray for his speedy recovery.
She tweeted, “Just got to know abhishek is quite unwell and probably admitted in the hospital. So, he won’t be able to perform for y’all tonight. He has entertained us thoroughly through and through the season. Let’s pray for his speedy recovery. ❤️”.
Bigg Boss OTT 2 happened for Abhishek Malhan only because of its short duration. Before entering the show, he revealed that he was approached for the TV show initially. Given its long run, he shared that he couldn’t let his channel be inactive and thus decided to say no. “Bigg Boss OTT was for a few weeks and I thought I could shoot a bank and go, and do something new. But I wasn’t too keen but the makers told me it’s going to be bigger than ever, and as they named Salman Khan as the host, I just jumped and said yes,” he told indianexpress.com.
