Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur's upcoming Telugu film Family Star has been locked for release on April 5. Deverakonda announced the movie's release date on his social media handles with a new poster. He wrote in the caption, "Arriving April 05 2024". The makers had released the movie's teaser, which showed Deverakonda adept at being a family guy and a rowdy hero who beats the villain. In the video, the actor is shown doing household work, kitchen duties, and dropping children off at school. In the next scene, he is seen sitting across a man who questions his masculinity for working at home. To this Deverakonda says, “Your talks are pretty amusing. So does buying onions make me less of a man? Is getting kids ready for school a sign of being less of a man? Will bending a rod alone prove my masculinity?” He then goes on to thrash a guy violently. Family Star is directed by Parasuram Petla and co-produced by Dil Raju and Shirish.
