Telugu star Ram Charan and his wife, Upasana Konidela, hail from different backgrounds. Upasana comes from a family of doctors and entrepreneurs, while Ram Charan is the son of the legendary actor Chiranjeevi. In a recent interview, Upasana revealed her initial discomfort with certain scenes Ram Charan performed with heroines in films. However, over time, she gained a better understanding of his profession.
Despite dating for years before tying the knot, Upasana admitted during an interview with Galatta Ritz that she initially struggled to comprehend Ram Charan’s work. “Like every woman, I’ve sometimes asked him if he needed to do certain scenes with heroines. I’m like, ‘Come on, what is this?’” she said.
“But he’s like, ‘Please understand, this is my profession and this is what happens’. He explained the technicalities and now everything is fine. Initially, I didn’t understand; we came from two different worlds. But there’s no one he has better chemistry with than me, he looks the best with me,” she added.
Ram and Upasana were blessed with daughter Klin Kaara in June 2023. During the interview, Upasana revealed that Klin is a complete daddy’s girl. She said, “Power comes from the heart and I think we both play a significant role in parenting. Whatever a mom is expected to do, I think the dad is doing more than that. We’re equally raising Kara, it’s beautiful. Ram is a hands-on dad. She’s a daddy’s girl, and I am extremely jealous. When she sees her dad, her face lights up. There’s a special smile, a twinkle in her eyes, and I’m like, come on.”
On the professional front, Ram will next be seen in director Shankar’s film Game Changer. He will star alongside Kiara Advani in the film.
