SS Rajamouli: ‘Prabhas might look like an idiot, but he is absolutely shrewd’

SS Rajamouli and Prashanth Neel opened up about Salaar hero Prabhas and how he is not what he seems.

SS Rajamouli recently interviewed Prashanth Neel, Prabhas, and Prithviraj about their upcoming film Salaar. During the conversation, Prashanth said that Prabhas would not make any corrections to whatever he gave him, which made him wonder whether he was on the right path. However, Rajamouli said that Prabhas might come across as someone who doesn’t understand, but in reality, he is shrewd.

Prashanth said, “When the hero says whatever I have written is fantastic, I go back and wonder whether this is enough. That’s the worst part of working with Prabhas.” To this, Prabhas replied that he will keep saying things can be made better during Salaar Part 2.

Rajamouli added, “I made a statement about Prabhas in Telugu. It loosely translates into, ‘Prabhas is a person who looks like an idiot but he is absolutely shrewd.”

Prithviraj immediately agreed with him and said, “It is true that he makes us believe that he doesn’t know anything, but that is not the case.” The Malayalam star also agreed with SS Rajamouli that he is a blessed actor as he has a very emotive face and doesn’t have to do anything else. “The rest of us all have to perform and try, but he just has to stand there and do nothing. I told the same thing to him on the first day of the shoot.”

Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire is set to release on December 22 across the world in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. The film also stars Shruti Haasan, Eswari Rao and Bobby Simha in pivotal roles.
