Superstar Mahesh Babu, who is currently busy working on SS Rajamouli’s upcoming big-budget globe-trotting action film, tentatively titled SSMB 29, is set to have major competition. And the competition is growing right under his nose. A video of Gautam Ghattamaneni, the son of Mahesh, performing a mime, has gone viral, and netizens are lauding the third generation actor from the Ghattamaneni family.

In the video, we can see Gautam, who is currently pursuing a four-year integrated drama course at New York University, performing a mime, along with another actor. The mime, which seems to be based on a first date, is set to the music of Cass Elliot’s “Baby I’m Yours”, and features both the actors showcasing their acting talent.

This isn’t the first time a video featuring Gautam is going viral. In 2024, there was a TikTok video that went viral featuring Gautam and his group of friends being quizzed by a content creator about Indian films. What truly was the highlight of that video was the content creator having no clue about the legacy of Gautam, and netizens quite enjoyed seeing the star kid in a rather ‘normal’ scenario.

Sharing the mime video, a fan club of Mahesh Babu wrote, “Gautam Ghattamaneni shines at NYU Tisch School of the Arts! Gautam babu acted in mime created by his fellow students. Wishing him the best on this creative journey!”

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu and team SSMB 29 recently completed filming the Odisha schedule. The movie, which also stars Priyanka Chopra-Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is written by Vijayendra Prasad, with cinematography by PS Vinod, and music by MM Keeravaani.
