Jr NTR is set to explode on screen with his latest spectacle Devara Part 1, which will be his first film since SS Rajamouli's RRR made him a global name. The expectations are high, and the star says the team left no stone unturned to mount the movie as a "high octane" action drama. Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara Part 1 features Jr NTR portraying two characters, the titular father as well as his son. The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, marking their Telugu debut. During the trailer launch of Devara here, Jr NTR spoke about the film's grand action sequences, detailing how a lot of time and effort went into ensuring it matches global standards. Saif sir will agree with me that there were some physically strenuous action sequences we have even been a part of. Solomn, who had worked on RRR as well, has extensively worked on the underwater and over-water sequences in the film. "We shot for about 38 days underwater and about 60 days over water. So 80-100 days were gone in that, to mount phenomenal action sequences which you've never seen before," he added. Jr NTR said his journey with Devera Part 1 began when Koratala Siva narrated him the "phenomenal idea" before the release of RRR. When the actor was asked if there is one particular sequence that he was most excited for, Jr NTR said it was impossible for him to choose one but revealed that the one he hated the most was the scene where he is seen riding a shark. I was in a 200x150 tank, which was about five and a half feet. It took almost one day to get it right!" he added. Devara is set to be released in two parts, with the first chapter arriving on September 27.
