Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently turned 36 and on Friday, the actor took to her Instagram handle and shared glimpses of the birthday bash she did not ask for. Posting a series of photos, Samantha shared how her friends, including directors Raj and DK, celebrated her birthday against her wish.

Despite setting simple rules of no cake, balloons, or other such things, Samantha shared that her birthday celebration turned out to be the complete opposite of what she had asked for. The actor wrote in the caption, “The rules were simple..- no surprises- no cake -certainly no f**in balloons. I clearly get what I want. The week that was.”

In one of the slides, Samantha Ruth Prabhu can be seen entering a room full of balloons. The actor, who saw the balloons, refused to enter the room and started laughing. Samantha also celebrated with the cast and crew of Citadel. Varun Dhawan was also spotted in one of the pictures.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu also shared a screengrab of her Spotify app when she was listening to “Surya Gayatri Mantra 108 Times”. She can be seen sitting in a tub full of ice in the next picture. Samantha also shared a screen recording of a website which rated her as the most popular celebrity, followed by Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.

On the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was recently seen in the film Shaakuntalam. The film received mixed reviews and tanked at the box-office. She will next be seen in Kushi opposite Vijay Deverakonda and Citadel India opposite Varun Dhawan.
