Hansika Motwani says rumours of her getting hormonal injections affected her mother: ‘She was protecting me’
Hansika Motwani has been in the limelight ever since she was a child and is best remembered as a child artist in Koi...Mil Gaya.

Hansika Motwani first started working as a child artist and many of her fans have seen her grow up in front of the camera. Now, an established name in the movies, she enjoys a huge following. However, as Hansika started getting more and more famous, people started speculating that the actor had gotten hormonal injections.
Hansika had earlier opened up about these rumours and called it the downside of being a celebrity. In a new interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actor shared that while she didn’t care about these stories, her mother Mona Motwani might have been hurt by them. “I don’t remember getting bothered by it, I was fine with it because if you were talking about me I must be really important to you,” Hansika said.
Answering if this affected her mother, Hansika shared, “I think it did but she never showed it to me because she was protecting me. But if you are on a public platform, it stops bothering you.”
The actor said that she accepts the pros and cons of being a public figure with dignity. “If I am taking appreciation from both hands, then I have to learn to take negativity with both hands because it’s part and parcel of my job but I don’t get affected by it. Over the years I have become thicker about it,” she said.
Hansika has several films in the pipeline. They include Telugu films My Name Is Shruti, 105 Minutes and Tamil films Man, Gandhari, Guardian and Rowdy Baby.
