Allu Arjun’s Pushpa The Rule release date announced with new poster: ‘Pushpa Raj is coming back to conquer’

Pushpa: The Rule is the sequel to 2021's Pushpa: The Rise, which starred Allu Arjun in the lead role. The actor won a National Award for his performance in the film.

Allu Arjun’s fans have been waiting for an update on Pushpa: The Rule for almost two years now, and on Monday, the film’s release date was finally announced, along with a new poster. Pushpa: The Rule is scheduled to release on August 15, 2024.

Mythri Movie Makers made the big announcement on social media, and wrote, “Pushpa Raj is coming back to conquer the box office.” The new poster has a close-up of Pushpa’s hand, so it is yet to be seen if Allu Arjun’s look will be changed in the sequel. Allu Arjun also shared the poster on his social media.

Directed by Sukumar, the film also stars Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna.

Allu Arjun was recently honoured with a National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in Pushpa: The Rise. After winning the award, Allu Arjun shared a note on Instagram that read, “A huge congratulations to all the national award winners across various categories and languages throughout the nation. Your accomplishments are truly commendable . & I would like to express my gratitude for the love and wishes pouring in from all corners of the country. Feeling honored and humbled by it all. Thank you for the love . Humbled 🙏🏽”

A video shared on social media showed Allu Arjun getting emotional after his win.

Devi Sri Prasad, who composed the film’s music, was also honoured with a National Film Award. After winning the award, the composer told indianexpress.com, “I thank the people for accepting and loving the music of Pushpa. Sometimes you get commercial success but not an award or vice versa, but getting both for Pushpa is a gift. I am really really happy. Thanks to everyone for the love.”

The film’s pan-Indian success came as a surprise to Telugu cinema, especially because Pushpa: The Rise released at a time when most films were not doing well at the box office due to the pandemic. Pushpa’s success started a new pan-Indian wave for Indian cinema and after this, many Telugu films saw nationwide success.
