After giving wings to many local businesses and funding big companies for two seasons, Shark Tank India is set to be back with its next season. Registrations for the show started on Saturday and will continue till the end of this month.
Sony TV announced Shark Tank India 3 with a rather hilarious promo. In the video, a senior business tycoon is seen talking about his achievements and how his family and relatives funded him. In the promo, he rues how he got only some crores from them. A man then enters and shares that if you do not have relatives, you can always pitch your business on Shark Tank India.
In its debut season, the ‘sharks’ invested close to Rs 42 crore in 67 local businesses. The numbers almost doubled in season 2 as the ‘sharks’ invested almost Rs 80 crore in 103 businesses.
Download or update the SonyLIV app or log on to Sonyliv.com to fill out the Shark Tank India 3 registration form. You will need to fill in a description of your business idea, highlighting its uniqueness and potential. Make sure you catch the attention of the team with your words. You need to be 18 years and above and a citizen of India to qualify for the show.
Step 2: Pitch
You will need to upload a three-minute video pitch, along with answering a detailed Q&A to convince the Shark Tank India team why your business idea deserves their investment. Clearly put across what sets you apart and why you are poised for success. Your pitch will determine if you have what it takes to be on the show.
Step 3: Audition
If you clear the first two rounds, you will next have to go through a rigorous audition process. Present your business idea to the Shark Tank India team, who will assess your potential and narrow down the candidates to the most promising ones. The audition will be conducted in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
Before the final drill, entrepreneurs will have to pitch their business ideas to a panel consisting of business experts and representatives of the company. The final selection will be done on the basis of the pitch and their previous rounds.
Step 5: Entering the ‘Tank’
Selected participants, now called Pitchers, will enter the Shark Tank, facing the panel of ‘Sharks’ for the final round. These experienced investors will evaluate, analyse, and make offers based on your final pitch. You will get the chance to discuss, negotiate and finally secure the deal of a lifetime.
