Rupali Ganguly answers if she is responsible for Alisha Parveen’s exit from Anupamaa: ‘I have no authority’

Actress Rupali Ganguly and her show Anupamaa have been in turbulent waters for quite some time now. While Rupali has been accused by her former co-actors of being insecure, getting their scenes cut, and even influencing their ouster from the Rajan Shahi show, the actress has finally decided to speak up. During a conversation with ABP, Rupali opened up about whether she had anything to do with her on-screen daughter Alisha Parveen’s aka Raahi’s exit from the show. The actress set the record straight and denied the allegations.

She said, “I have no authority over casting decisions or other major show developments. Such matters are entirely handled by Rajan Shahi and the channel. I’ve always prioritized professionalism and dedicated myself to this show for the last five years.” She denied all other allegations about her being insecure and stated that she stays away from ‘backstage politics’.

While so far Alisha has not accused Rupali of being the reason behind her exit, her sudden termination left many shocked. Her good friend Shivam Kahjuria (who starred opposite her) also said that she is a very sweet girl and no one had an idea about her ouster from Anupamaa. Earlier, several celebrities have accused Rupali of being responsible for the toxic environment on the Rajan Shahi set.

Earlier this year, Rupali was in the spotlight after her stepdaughter Esha Verma made some nasty allegations against her. After she accused Rupali of being abusive and spoiling her life, Rupali clapped back at her with a legal notice. The actress even spoke about the Esha Verma issue at an event, she said, “If I say it doesn’t affect, it will be a lie. Of course, it affects. We are all human beings. It hurts when they say bad things even behind my back. Those who love me will continue to do so. I believe in doing good deeds, because then good things will happen to you now or in the future. Sometimes a bad phase does come, and bad things do happen, but good always wins over that.”

Earlier, Paras Kalnawat, Nidhi Shah, and even Sudhanshu Pandey have subtly hinted about their issues with Rupali on the show.
