Actress Malaika Arora has been a judge on several reality shows, and the latest one is Amazon MX Player’s Hip Hop Season 2. Malaika is judging the show alongside Remo D’souza. While the show went live on 14th March, the show’s premiere took a dramatic turn after Malaika lost her cool at a contestant. On the latest episode of the show, a contestant made some inappropriate gestures directed towards Malaika while performing, leaving the judge offended.
Naveen Shah, 16, from Uttar Pradesh appeared for an audition on the show. During his performance, the contestant made some suggestive gestures towards Malaika, leaving the actress upset. Once his performance was done, Malaika expressed her anger and said, “Please give me your mother’s phone number. You are a 16-year-old kid. While dancing, he is looking at me and winking, (blowing) flying kisses.” Malaika’s co-judge, Remo D’souza, soon stepped in to salvage the situation and jokingly asked the contestant if he is like his mom or his father.
Other contestants also questioned his behavior and said that this scolding was well deserved. While the situation was brought under control, the contestant’s father was called on stage, and both Malaika and Remo joked with him. Talking about his son’s behaviour, the boy’s father said, “He looks innocent, but he isn’t. He keeps chatting with girls throughout the night.” When asked about his gestures, the father jokingly said, “After all, he is my son.”
The video went viral on social media, inviting a lot of flak. Slamming the boy’s actions, a user wrote, “She’s right…this is needed for this 16-year-old child.” Another user wrote, “She is right…Malaika is older than his mother, maybe.”
Malaika Arora was earlier married to Arbaaz Khan, the two have a son together, Arhaan Khan. Before this, Malaika has judged other dance reality shows like Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa, India’s Best Dancer, India’s Got Talent, etc.
