It was a bittersweet reunion on Shark Tank India, as entrepreneur Ganesh Balakrishnan returned to the stage that launched his public journey. A year after his pitch on the show went viral, Balakrishnan appeared on Shark Tank India to film a special episode for the show.
Ganesh had previously appeared on season two of the show, where he pitched his brand Flatheads and won the hearts of the sharks and the audience with his honest story of balancing his job with his business aspirations. The founder went viral as he broke down while chronicling his journey, which highlighted the struggle of an entrepreneur.
Returning to the show for its third season was an extremely emotional experience for Balakrishnan, who took to X to recall his struggling days and how it impacted his family.
“I was on the sets of @SharkTankIndia again recently, shooting for the Beyond the Tank segment of the show that aired yesterday. It was bittersweet, recalling the show last year and the emotions on display, and what has happened since the episode aired. What my family went through during the tough times, how we kept it together, waiting for a better day. How the day came, and we scrambled to fulfill the flood of orders. How @Flatheads_in found a new life and a new home within the @StychedIndia Collective. How I took a break, introspecting, wiping the slate clean, and thinking about the future afresh.”

Ganesh said that he has now embarked on a new entrepreneurial journey, where he is working with “lifelong friends and enjoying the ride”, hoping that his customers are satisfied.
“As a matter of fact, I’m just rushing out to meet potential customers after I post this. And this is where I find my happy place! As Anupam quipped – Once an entrepreneur, always an entrepreneur!”
