Stand-up comedian Pranit More finished his Bigg Boss 19 journey in third place, losing the trophy to his close friend Gaurav Khanna. Pranit had a memorable run on the show, and one of the standout moments was when host Salman Khan pulled him up for cracking jokes at his expense. The gag continued for several episodes, with Salman playfully schooling Pranit each time. Now, in an exclusive interview with SCREEN, the Bigg Boss 19 finalist revealed whether he plans to continue making jokes about the Tiger Zinda Hai actor.

Talking about the same, Pranit said, “No, we usually joke to entertain everybody, but if someone is getting hurt, then we wouldn’t want to repeat that. We joke for entertainment, not for controversy.” Earlier this year, Pranit was physically assaulted, and his ongoing show was vandalized by a mob after he cracked some jokes about actor Veer Pahariya. Sharing how that incident has changed his approach as a stand-up comedian, Pranit added, “We have become conscious now, and wonder if someone will get offended, but humor is very subjective. I avoid joking about religion and politics; I know they are sensitive topics. But sometimes we falter, and are working on it.”

On his Bigg Boss 19 journey

Commenting on his Bigg Boss 19 journey, Pranit More recalled the hesitation he had before signing up for Bigg Boss 19 and said, “I had lots of doubts before entering the show. I used to Google things like what the temperature is in the house, what time they wake you up, etc. I had never seen the show, so I thought they would give me a pen and paper and I would write jokes on them. Later, I learned there was no watch, or even a newspaper. I learned that people can fight so much; it was all a learning experience.”

He added, “I was very bad at confrontations in my life. I would distance myself or block someone if I didn’t like them, but here I figured that you have to talk to the person with whom you fight. Later, when I confronted people in the house, I found it very easy, and I will do the same with my friends outside. My happiest moment was doing the commentary task with Gaurav Khanna; we had so much fun that we wanted to continue doing that. An emotional moment was when I was told to go back to my village during an argument. That pinched me. Sometimes people say things in a fight that are hurtful, so I felt a little bad about it.”

On being trolled for his looks

On the show, Pranit More was constantly mocked for his appearance and skin color. Sharing how he felt about it, Pranit said, “I don’t pay heed to being trolled for my looks; if someone sees it that way, it’s their problem, and mentality, I don’t give it so much importance.” Pranit also added that fighting with Malti Chahar on the show remains a regret. “But yes, I do regret my fight with Malti. I apologized to her back then, also things are getting better with her.”

Talking about his struggles, the Bigg Boss 19’s second runner-up said, “It feels nice to be a reality show star now. There was a point in life where there was a lot of struggle, had to fight a lot for everything. I used to wonder how others got something easily, so why not me? Now, I think that because I struggled so much, I am so grounded today. I cherish those values now. I can buy what I like, give my parents a credit card, and I have made a house for them.”

Now, Pranit More plans to go on a vacation, and also execute his Goa trip with fellow Bigg Boss 19 contestants.
