Amitabh Bachchan will soon be back as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati as the actor has already started shooting for the series’ 15th season. Bachchan recently took to his blog to share some photos from the set of the game show and said that his opening of the show, where he runs towards the set, was a tradition that was started by him. Although, many insisted that he shouldn’t be doing so.
He shared a few lines on the same in Hindi on his blog which can be loosely translated as, “This activity of running on to set started because I insisted. I was stopped by many. But I was determined. I will always run, on the shoulders of those who love.”
Bachchan also wrote about the vibe on the set and how he likes to applaud for the audience. “The applause for the audience, in line for the distilled energy need; it takes a lot to keep them, feed them without greed ..” he wrote and said that it is the audience who makes the show. “They make the show, they are the life, never ignored .. their love for us is never overboard ..” he wrote. He concluded his blog with a note for the audience, “What is needed will be done with aplomb ; their eventual grace , the evening psalm ..”
Bachchan first started hosting KBC in 2001. Recently, Siddharth Basu shared with Lallantop, that Bachchan starts getting very nervous when a contestant is about to give wrong answers. He clarified that the host is not aware of the correct answers. “Amit ji gets tensed, his relationship with the contestants is such that he starts feeling, ‘OMG she is going wrong, he is saying that.’ He does get stressed. But we try to stay like the Buddha! Play for merit, go for what it is. We keep moving forward like this and the stack is set, so you go according to that.”
