Amitabh Bachchan-hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 to be launched on this date, watch new promo

The video features a lively Amitabh Bachchan warmly greeting participants and viewers to the newest season of the show while giving a sneak peek of the exciting content in store for the audience. “#newbeginning,” Big B says towards the end of the video.

In another promo that SET shared last month, Bachchan had stated that KBC was changing, hinting at a more tech-savvy season this year. “India has embraced change; a change that fosters growth, a change that has rehauled our mindset and a change that drives new aspirations. In India, ‘badi shaan se, bade gyan se – dekho sab kuch badal raha hai’, and mirroring this transformation is the nation’s biggest game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati,” a statement by the channel read. Registrations for Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 kickstarted in April.

Taking to his official blog to share some photos from the set of the game show, Big B recently revealed that the tradition of his show’s opening, where he runs towards the set, was initiated by him. Despite some people advising against it, he continued to maintain this tradition.

He shared a few lines on the same in Hindi on his blog which can be loosely translated as, “This activity of running on to set started because I insisted. I was stopped by many. But I was determined. I will always run, on the shoulders of those who love.”

Amitabh Bachchan also wrote about the vibe on the set and how he likes to applaud the audience. “The applause for the audience, in line for the distilled energy need; it takes a lot to keep them, feed them without greed ..” the host wrote and said that it is the audience who makes the show. “They make the show, they are the life, never ignored .. their love for us is never overboard ..” he wrote. Big B concluded his blog with a note for the audience, “What is needed will be done with aplomb; their eventual grace, the evening psalm ..”

Amitabh has been the host of the show since its first season in 2000, except for the third season which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. During the show’s 1000th episode, the thespian had spoken about the difficult times when he took up the show due to some financial constraints.
