Amit Tandon ‘honoured’ to be backed by Ekta Kapoor

TV czarina Ekta played a huge hand in Amit’s career as she handed him his acting break on the small screen with “Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai”, followed by “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”. Amit had a lean phase in between, but again it was Ekta who offered him a chance to bounce back with crucial role in “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein”.

He considers himself “extremely lucky to get substantial amount of work all these years”.

“I know of numerous individuals — far more talented — who haven’t received work like how I have got. I have no regrets or complaints and consider myself fortunate to have worked with such renowned production houses,” added Amit, a former “Indian Idol” contestant.
