Tamil actor Vishal has made serious allegations against officials from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in Mumbai, accusing them of accepting a bribe of Rs 6.5 lakh in exchange for screening and granting a U/A certificate to his latest film, Mark Antony. In a tweet, Vishal shared bank transaction receipts as evidence of the payments made by his film's team to the CBFC officials. In his post on X, Vishal revealed that his film's team had to pay Rs 6.5 lakh for the Hindi version of Mark Antony, with two transactions: Rs 3 lakh for screening and Rs 3.5 lakh for the certificate. He appealed to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to look into the matter. He also named the mediator between his film's team and the CBFC officials. The actor-producer tweeted, "#Corruption being shown on silver screen is fine. But not in real life. Cant digest. Especially in govt offices. And even worse happening in #CBFC Mumbai office.
