Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time release date revealed with new poster
Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Vijay starrer The Greatest of All Time is nearing completion, and the makers are already out with a release date for the film.

Leo taught a valuable lesson to Vijay and Tamil filmmakers that announcing the release date even before the film’s shoot is not a good idea in Kollywood. Lokesh Kanagaraj was vocal about the fact that announcing Leo’s release date way too early restricted his freedom to work on the script. Hence, The Greatest of All Time’s release date wasn’t announced after the film went on floors back in 2023. But the wait is over, as the makers have released an official poster with the release date of the Venkat Prabhu directorial.
The new poster features Vijay sporting the salt-and-pepper look and spectacles that give a nerdy look to the mass hero. The poster also features a bomb blast in what looks like an European setting. There are also many visa stamps on the passport, which suggests the film will be set in many locations.

The Greatest of All Time was first announced on May 21, 2023, and within a year, the makers are out with the release date for the big-budget project. Producer by AGS Entertainment, which also bankrolled Vijay’s Bigil, the movie marks the first collaboration between Vijay and Venkat Prabhu.
The film is touted to be a sci-fi action drama involving time travel. Vijay is said to be playing two roles in the film–a nerdy-looking middle-aged man and a younger guy with an uber-cool look. There are speculations that both are the same person from different timelines. It has to be noted that Venkat Prabhu recently struck gold with Maanaadu, which involved the time-loop concept where the protagonist keeps living the same day until he stops the assassination of the state’s CM.
Other than Vijay, The Greatest of All Time has Prabhudheva, Prashanth, Ajmal, Meenakshi Chaudhry, Laila, Sneha, Mohan, Jayaram, and Yogi Babu in important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in for the music. The movie is rumoured to be Vijay’s last screen outing as he is set to venture into full-time politics. However, it is also said that the actor might do one more film before calling it quits.
