Interestingly, this sudden update from Lyca Productions comes close on the heels of speculations that Mythri Movie Makers are planning to release their Ajith-Adhik Ravichandran film Good Bad Ugly for Pongal 2025. Now, Lyca has announced that it is Vidaamuyarchi that would take part in the Pongal race. Incidentally, it was the festive occasion of Pongal when Ajith’s last release, Thunivu, directed by H Vinoth, hit the screens in 2023.
Apart from Ajith, Vidaamuyarchi features an interesting ensemble of actors, including his Mankatha co-stars Trisha and Arjun. Other actors playing pivotal roles in Vidaamuyarchi are Arav and Regina Cassandra, who are collaborating with Ajith for the first time.
