Regina Cassandra priases Vidaamuyarchi co-star Ajith: ‘Everyone should meet that man’

In an exclusive interview, Regina Cassandra also praised her Vidaamuyarchi co-star Ajith, sharing he was a thorough gentleman throughout the shoot of the film.

Actress Regina Cassandra recently spoke to SCREEN about her journey in South cinema. While she got candid about the South film industry and the pan-India phenomenon, Regina also opened up about her upcoming Tamil film Vidaamuyarchi, which stars Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan in important roles. The actress spoke about working with Ajith and praised the actor for being a thorough gentleman.

Talking about Vidaamuyarchi, Regina said, “Vidaamuyarchi means persistence. It is shaping up pretty damn well. The film looks really good, we shot 90 percent of it in Azerbaijan, I am so looking forward to it because it’s an exciting role. The makers have showed that confidence in me to give me such a prominent role in such a big film, so I am excited.”

Regina Cassandrra also praised her Vidaamuyarchi co-star Ajith, sharing he was a thorough gentleman throughout the shoot of the film. She said that the superstar was always very respectful towards everyone on set too. “I must say I never knew Ajith sir before I did the film, and after I completed the shoot for the film…everyone should meet that man. He has the charm and charisma, that no one I have seen has to date. He really made sure that the film came out the way it had to come out. Magizh Thirumeni the director has also done a fabulous job with the film.”

Regina also spoke about her other projects in Bollywood. “There is one film called Section 108 which I am hoping will release in 2025. It is with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. There is another one I want to talk about, but I can’t. We are still shooting for it. I might see its rushes in a few days. The role is very similar to that of Mrinalini Sarabhai whom I played in Rocket Boys. It’s a very homely character. Jatt is the third one. This Telugu director Gopichand Malineni is making his debut in Hindi. The film stars Sunny Deol, Sayami Kher, Randeep Hooda, and me. It’s a prominent role,” confirmed the actress.
