Roja recalls shooting Unnidathil Ennai Koduthe with Ajith and Karthik: ‘Ajith Kumar was a big fan of my work’

The actress also recalled the on-set dynamic between herself, Ajith Kumar, and Karthik. “Ajith Kumar was a big fan of my work then. And I used to be a fan of Karthik. So Ajith used to keep on praising me, and I would be praising Karthik sir all the time. This was the regular exchange between the three of us on set. We used to praise each other’s work to the other person. Ajith Kumar was an upcoming actor back then. He signed on to do that film because of his wish to work with me. As Ajith was a huge fan of my work, we would sit there chatting all the time between shoots. We were constantly scolded by our director, Vikramanan sir, on set. Karthik sir never spoke much. He just smiles. This triangular communication was going on that set.”

In Lenin Pandiyan, Roja will share screen space with legendary singer, lyricist and director Gangai Amaran, who is making his acting debut with the film. Sivaji Ganesan’s grandson Dhaarshan Ganesan will also play a pivotal role.
