As director Lokesh Kanagaraj turns 38 today, he celebrated the occasion with his friends on the birthday eve.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has turned 38 today, and the director chose to celebrate it with his close friends at a low-key party in Chennai. Director-writer Rathna Kumar, the co-writer of Leo, took to social media to share a picture from the birthday celebrations. Along with Rathna Kumar, actor Arjun Das was also seen in the picture. Arjun acted in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Kaithi as Anbu Das, who also made a return in Vikram, during the Rolex sequence.

The highlight of the party was the specially designed cake which had the logo of DC Comics. Below it were the words LCU, an acronym for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Cinematic Universe. The cake was decorated with a gun, which is an omnipresent prop in Lokesh’s films.

Wishes have been pouring in on X, but Lokesh hasn’t reacted or shared any posts from his party as he is on a break from social media to work on his upcoming film with Rajinikanth, which is tentatively called Thalaivar 171. He will next direct Karthi in Kaithi 2, Suriya in a standalone Rolex film, and Kamal Haasan in Vikram 2 (which is speculated to be the conclusion of LCU).
