Lakshmy Ramakrishnan back in action

Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, in a press release, said, “My audiences have always been a strong pillar of support—whether it’s in front of the camera as an actor, or behind the scenes as a director.”

The actor-director added, “Naan Veezhven Endru Ninaithayo will advocate familial values. It would be a positive experience to both the participants on the show and the viewers.”

The first episode of Naan Veezhven Endru Ninaithayo went on air last week.

A source tells indianexpress.com, “We had shot 18 episodes already, and this is the first season of the show. The format is pretty much like Solvathellam Unmai. But here, we don’t give solutions, but help people, and provide them financial support, if need be.”

Earlier, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan hosted Solvathellam Unmai on a television channel. The show went off air after the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court had ordered a stay on the reality show, following a petition filed by someone from Virudhunagar district allegedly claiming “that it portrays the personal lives of people without any concern for their privacy.”

Launched in 2011, episodes of Solvathellam Unmai had dealt with familial complications, where the host indulges in debates and discussions with the people involved and helps them find an amicable solution.
