Dhanush and Rashmika Mandanna were seen walking towards the sets of Kubera in Mumbai.

Director Sekhar Kammula has been shooting Kubera, a film featuring the industry’s two big stars, without making a lot of noise. Little is known about the movie and the state of the project. However, now a video from the sets of the film has revealed that it is currently on floors in Mumbai with Rashmika Mandanna and Dhanush.

In the video, Dhanush and Rashmika are seen walking with their guards to the sets of Kubera. Dhanush was spotted wearing a semi-casual suit and Rashmika was in a simple green churidar. Dhanush looked opposite to his pauper get-up from the first look poster of the film. It is still unknown what the story of Kubera is all about, but given the title (the name of the Hindu god of wealth) and Dhanush’s looks, it is speculated to be about a rich man and his fall.

Earlier, the movie was shot in Tirupathi, where Dhanush was seen as a beggar during a fight sequence. The film unit also faced issues while shooting in the hills, which delayed the project further.

Other than Dhanush and Rashmika, Kubera also stars Telugu star Nagarjuna, who was last seen in Naa Saami Ranga. The Telugu star is reportedly playing a cop in the film.

Kubera will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual and will be also released in Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam.

Besides Kubera, Dhanush is currently working on his dream film, Raayan. He is directing and playing the titular role in the gangster drama set in North Madras. The actor is simultaneously working on another directorial venture, Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam, a young adult rom-com. On top of that, Dhanush is also playing music maestro Ilaiyaraaja in a biopic, directed by Arun Matheshwaran. The project is still in the nascent stage.
