It’s been a while since Siddharth was seen on the silver screen. He last featured in Maha Samudram in Telugu, and in Tamil, he was last seen in Aruvam, which hit screens in 2019. However, 2023 is going to change all of that as Siddharth will be making a comeback in Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 in an important role. On top of that, the actor has two more films in the pipeline –Chithha and Takkar.

Chithha seems to be a new space for Siddharth, who is known for his roles as a modern youngster in films. In Chithha, the short form of Chithappa (Father’s younger brother), Siddharth plays the role of an uncle. Directed by SU Arunkumar of Sethupathi fame, the film was announced by Kamal Haasan, who plays the lead role in Indian 2.

Kamal Haasan said that Chithha will be an emotional drama in a short video clip. Sharing the video, Siddharth wrote, “My God of Cinema giving his blessing to our most ambitious film yet. Thank you universe. Kamal sir will reveal the first look and Title of our Production No. 4. Thank you so much, great sir. Directed by the amazing S.U.Arun Kumar. This film carries so many hopes and dreams on its shoulders. Can’t wait to share Arun’s magical vision with you all (sic).”

On top of that, Siddharth also has the film Takkar, which is directed by Karthik G Krish. The movie comes across as a road-trip film and is reminiscent of Karthi’s Payya. Here’s the trailer of the film:

Other than Siddharth, Takkar has Yogi Babu, Divyansha, Abimanyu Singh, Munishkanth, and RJ Vigneshkanth in pivotal roles. Nivas K Prasanna has composed the music for the film, which will be released on May 26.
