The long and short of it
The last day of shoot of The Legend Of Michael Mishra was a fun scene between Boman and Kayoze Irani
Boman and Kayoze Irani look in the film
The shooting of The Legend Of Michael Mishra wrapped up last week with the picturisation of a funny scene between father-son duo Boman and Kayoze Irani, on a set depicting Boman’s abode that had been created in Mumbai’s Film City studios. Both play Biharis in the film (and not father and son as rumoured) and in keeping with the attire that they sport in the film, they are called Full Pant and Half Pant! But, what caught everyone’s attention on the sets was the camaraderie between the duo when they were not shooting.
“They keep teasing each other and there is never a dull moment when they are around. Kayoze respects his father a lot and even if they are having fun he knows where to draw the line. Otherwise, he is in awe of his father because of his professional standing and both are very serious when it comes to work. They understand where the screenplay has moved, get into their characters, rehearse their scenes and work really hard. And when Kayoze would get stuck during the shoot, he would turn to his father for help. This would happen especially when it came to getting the accent right, because for Kayoze, Hindi is not his first language and in the film, he had to say his dialogues in Bihari,” says the film’s director Manish Jha adding that the film was shot over a period of 65 days in Patna and Mumbai.
TLOMM which is now in post-production, also stars Arshad Warsi and Aditi Rao Hydari. It is produced by Eye Candy Films and presented by Wave Cinemas.
Kill Dil Going western
Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra and Ali Zafar were snapped on the sets of Kill Dil recently. It seems to be an interesting song situation in the film and Zafar had tweeted, “4-6 hours of dance rehearsals per day. Preparing for the grandest film song of my career #KillDil” and once again later, “Long shoot. Been 10 days of continuous hardcore dancing now without a break. Body mind numb. But heart killing it. #KillDil.”
All three looked intriguing as the mail actors sported Western Cowboy looks. While the guys looked cool in jeans, cowboy hats, leather jackets and holding guns, Chopra looked exotic in her long boots, lightly coloured hair and a strapless asymmetrical dress. The shoot should wrap up between early to mid May.
Produced by Yash Raj Films Kill Dil is directed by Shaad Ali releases on November 14.
