If all goes well, Ranbir Kapoor might end up essaying the role of legendary Indian hockey star Dhyan Chand on the big screen. Reports suggest that writer and television producer Ila Bedi Datta, who had earlier co-written Agneepath, is currently finalising the script and other important research details for the film,that will be produced by Pooja Shetty. When contacted, Datta was in a meeting, but a source close to her mentioned that she is almost done with the scripting and once the cast is in place, the film should take off in the first half of 2014. “Yes, it’s true that we are in talks with Ranbir and would like to cast him as Dhyan Chand. You will know how things turn out very soon,” stated the source.
