Ram Kapoor to star opposite Sunny in Patel Rap
The actor now has three films in his kitty

Ram Kapoor has a lot to look forward to when it comes to his films. If the actor is playing three distinct characters — Saif Ali Khan’s uncle, a nightclub owner and a mentally-challenged guy in the upcoming Humshakals— he is also paired opposite none other than Sunny Leone in a film titled Patel Rap. The project will take off in September and will be shot entirely in Malaysia. Kapoor, who is playing the male lead in the film, says “I play Patel, a rich Gujarati man based in Kuala Lumpur, who is well-liked in the community. Then Sunny Leone comes into his life and the comedy begins. I cannot talk about the script, but it is being directed by Devang Dholakia who has helmed the Richa Chadda and Sunny Leone-starrer Tina And Lolo.”
The actor has high expectations from his forthcoming film, Humshakals and feels that it should be a big hit. “Sajid (Sajid Khan, the film’s director) has made a very funny film and despite all the three male actors playing triple characters, it is an easy watch,” says Kapoor, adding that the toughest part of the film was when he had to be both, a man and a woman in a song.
Commenting on Sajid as a director, Kapoor says that an actor has to be on his toes when working with him. “He will keep directing you even between ‘action’ and ‘cut’. After the third take, he may suddenly change the dialogue or something, so you have to be ready for anything.”
All set to opt out of his television serial Bade Ache Lagte Hain, Kapoor has signed two more films which he says will be announced in the next few months.
