Makers of the Armaan Jain-Deeksha Seth starrer Lekar Hum Deewana Dil are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the film gets good visibility. According to producer Dinesh Vijan, the film will get a 1000 screen release. “I personally believe that the release strategy should be decided according to the cast and story of a film. Since our story has an universal appeal, we will stick to a decent range of 1000 screens,” mentioned Vijan.
After organising a musical concert with A.R. Rahman to launch and promote the music of the film, the team later organised a football event, more like an evening of goal scoring on June 17, keeping in mind the fact that Jain’s character in the film, Dino, is a sports enthusiast. “It was my idea, actually. I was generally discussing how we can enjoy a fun game of football and the PR team actually decided to take things ahead. It is fun to be a part of unique promotional activities, which are not only restricted to the usual inteview and interaction drill,” mentioned Jain. Interestingly, director Arif Ali’s brother, Imtiaz Ali also happens to be a football enthusiast. The match also saw actor Ranbir Kapoor joining in the fun and giving some tough competition to the cast and crew. Vijan also mentioned that apart from this, the actors will have their usual rounds of television promotions and an eight city tour is also part of the schedule. Lekar Hum Deewana Dil is scheduled to release on July 4.
