Entertainment Entertainment

Just a few weeks ahead of its release, the makers of the Akshay Kumar starrer It’s Entertainment have decided to remove the word ‘It’s’ from the title and stick only to Entertainment. The film will now be called Entertainment. The change in title will be made in the next few days across all promotional videos, posters among others. Confirming the news, producer Ramesh Taurani stated, “Actually, since the inception of this film, we wanted to have a one word title. We wanted to go ahead with Entertainment, but unfortunately, the title was registered with some other production house. We have got the rights last week and from now on, the film will be called Entertainment.” Even the writer-director Sajid Farhad were not happy with the title. “We weren’t happy that we had to add the word, It’s before Entertainment. The word not only is the name of the dog in this film, but is also the genre. Hence, when we got the opportunity to buy the rights of this title for our film, we grabbed it. Also, we don’t really think it will affect the buzz around the film, since it’s still 20 days away from the release and it’s only now that we will kick start the official promotional activities and media interactions. So, we think the time is perfect.”
The film’s plot revolves around Akhil, played by Akshay Kumar, who keeps coming up with multiple vengeful plans to knock off Entertainment, who happens to be a dog, in order to inherit a fortune. In the end, the protagonist ends up sharing a bond with the animal. Produced by Tips Industries Ltd and Pen India, Entertainment will hit the screens on August 8.
