Actor Manish Paul will be seen anchoring a new series on National Geographic Channel, titled the Science of Stupid. The show will feature videos of people getting entangled in difficult situations and accidents, while Manish Paul will add his quirky comments to the show as he explains what went wrong and how the situation could have been avoided, while hosting the show.
The actor, a self-confessed fan of NGC, has loved watching shows like Taboo, Cover Shot, etc. “When I was offered Science of Stupid, I readily agreed. I am happy to be hosting a show that’s very different from what I have usually done. It will also be a good learning process,” says Paul.
Interestingly enough, this would be Paul’s first stint on a niche channel like NGC, a far cry from the shows he anchors on the general entertainment channels. “I am impressed by the channel’s commitment to the fine details and prepares the groundwork for the shows,” says Manish, who is dependent on the production team for the script. “I have not done any homework for this. It’s the research team that guides me,” says Paul, who, otherwise is quite spontaneous even when not provided with scripts. The show went on air on July 21.
