Hansal Mehta turns producer

Hansal Mehta who has directed critically acclaimed films like ‘Shahid’ and ‘CityLights’ is now turning producer.

Mehta who is busy with the pre-production of his still untitled film inspired by a suspended professor at Aligarh University who was filmed on spy-cam having consensual sex with a rickshaw driver, will be co-producing the film with Sandeep Singh (he has earlier worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali), under their banner Karma Pictures.

While Manoj Bajpayee will be playing the professor, Rajkummar Rao plays a journalist in the film.
