Govinda has confirmed that he has opted out of Vikas Bahl directed Shandaar. Citing monetary reasons, the actor, who was in Australia doing a show, spoke over the phone, “I was supposed to do the film, but woh nahi ho paya. Mera hisaab kitaab jama nahi. (It did not happen as I had issues regarding the remuneration)” Govinda was to play Alia Bhatt’s father in the film starring Shahid Kapoor in the lead.
