Farhan Akhtar is not doing Raees

There’s a strong buzz that Farhan Akhtar is no longer doing Rahul Dholakia’s Raees. The film has Shah Rukh Khan playing a bootlegger, while Akhtar was to play a cop. There has also been some delay in the film taking off, but now it is heard that Khan will start shooting for the film after Maneesh Sharma’s Fan.   When contacted, Dholakia said, “It’s not true, Farhan is doing the film.” The leading lady of the film, which is being produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment, is yet to be finalised.
