Two years ago, film-maker Ashutosh Gowariker wanted to make a film on the issue of the girl child and also wanted to do a project that was associated with adventure sports. He was juggling with two stories simultaneously.
“I was oscillating between the two themes when it struck that why not combine the two. It was an Eureka moment for me,” said the film-maker, who came up with the idea of doing a television series involving both the themes instead of a film on one. That’s how his first television production, Everest was created and conceived.
