Rajeev Khandelwal met with an accident while returning from one of the promotions for his recently-released Samrat & Co. While taking a route back from Water Kingdom, another car crashed into the actor’s SUV leaving the passengers in a shock. While most of them were safe, Rajeev ended up suffering an injury on the right shoulder. He was rushed to a nearby hospital in that area. A team from Gorai Police Station took the matter into their hands and are now investigating the case. Rajeev has been advised three weeks of bed rest.
On the way to recovery
Amit Sadh underwent surgery for the foot which he had fractured last month while shooting in Shimla for Subhash Kapoor’s Guddu Rangeela. Apparently, he required a surgery because of some complications that cropped up. As Sadh’s surgery went well, he is expected to start walking soon. He is taking heavy antibiotic medication to recover, and if all goes well and his injury heals, he shall begin shooting in less than two weeks. However, the actor was unable to cast his vote because of the injury.
Ram-Leela in trouble
A rrest warrants were issued against the lead actors of Goliyon Ki Rasleela, Ram-Leela, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as well as the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, by a court in Muzzaffarpur. Warrants have also been issued against Priyanka Chopra, who has done a dance number in film as well as the musicians and lyricists. The warrants were issued based on a complaint that certain scenes in the movie hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.
A fair verdict
Singer-composer Sonu Nigam won a case against singer Mika Singh for defamation and infringement of personality rights. Allegedly, Singh had put up personal hoardings with his enlarged photos and the logo of the event for his own publicity. The court imposed a fine of Rs. 10 lakh on him. The event also had performances by Nigam, Himesh Reshammiya, Shreya Ghoshal and Ayushmann Khurrana. The official event posters featured all the artists equally.
